Identifying nouns in Turkish takes more than dictionary lookup, because Turkish words rarely appear in the form a dictionary would list them under.
Turkish attaches suffixes to a root, and a single noun can appear in many forms. From ev ("house") come evde ("at the house"), evler ("houses"), evlerimizin ("of our houses"). None of these match the bare root as a string.
This tool performs morphological analysis first: it strips suffixes to recover the root, then determines whether that root is a noun. The form the word takes in the text does not matter.
